The history of International Women’s Day stretches back more than 100 years when the
day was first observed across Europe and America. In 1946, feminists in Italy chose the mimosa flower as a symbol of strength, sensibility, and sensitivity for Women’s Day.

As part of the PMI’s IWD ‘23 big thank you to female retailers across the world we created
an app that gave everyone the chance to receive a virtual flower & gift their fellow
retailers and celebrate this important time.
